Antique ruby and diamond halo ring set in silver and 14k yellow gold likely from the early Victorian or late Georgian eras. The stunning piece features a ruby surrounded by a halo of fourteen (14) tiny old mine cut diamonds set in silver topped yellow gold. The band is delicately split into three at the front and hand engraved with a feather and floral style design. The setting has a closed back. Would make a fantastic engagement ring or gift.
STATS The face of the ring measures approximately 12.16 mm x 11.50 mm and the band measures 7.40 mm at the front and gently tapers to 2.09 mm at the back.
PERIOD The ring is made in the Georgian style but may be from the Victorian era.
MATERIALS 14k yellow gold, silver, pink sapphire and diamonds.
SIZE The ring is a size 6.5. I would not recommend resizing this ring because it would interfere with the hand engraving at the back of the band.
CONDITION In good condition for an antique piece with expected wear and tarnish. Sapphire has minor abrasions and a tiny chip visible when magnified. Back of setting has small indents. Please see photos.
WEIGHT The total weight of the ring is 2.9 grams.
